Hampi – A Journey Through Time
From February 8th to 10th, 2025, our Grade 7 students of NAFL embarked on an exciting three-day educational field trip to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the magnificent capital of the ancient Vijayanagara Empire.
On Day 1, students explored Hampi’s iconic landmarks including the Virupaksha Temple, Kadalekalu Ganesha, Mustard Ganesha, and the Balakrishna Temple. They also visited the scenic Tungabhadra Dam. The day concluded with an engaging audio-visual presentation on Hampi’s rich history. Day 2 was dedicated to an immersive exploration of Hampi’s magnificent ruins. Students also gained insights into ancient irrigation and water management systems that once supported this grand civilization. A short stop at the historic Chitradurga Fort was another highlight. Students witnessed the thrilling feats of Jyothi Raj, popularly known as the ‘Monkey Man’, as he scaled the fort’s steep walls!
The team brought back deep memories and a deeper appreciation for India's cultural and historical heritage!
