Kaleidoscope 2023-24
Kaleidoscope 2023-2024 at NAFL school transformed imagination into tangible art through the theme "Unlocking Imagination through Mask Art!" Students embarked on a creative journey, reimagining face masks in funny, stunning, and maverick ways. With face masks tracing back to 7000 BC, the festival explored their diverse uses: from fashion statements to creating mystery, suspense, laughter, and wonder.
The event showcased the ingenuity of NAFL students across all grade levels. Early Years to Grade 1&2 students crafted paper bag masks, Grades 3-8 repurposed cardboard and paint to fashion masks, while Grades 9-12 innovatively utilized recyclable materials, drawing inspiration from Kenyan Artist Cyrus Kabiru. Known for transforming trash into political art using bicycle parts, Kabiru's ethos of selling creativity resonated deeply, fostering a culture of sustainability and artistic expression at NAFL's annual art-fest, Kaleidoscope.
